Seneca College and FutureShield to Bring Industry Leaders, Security Executives and Academic Experts Together on April 27th

On April 27th Seneca College and FutureShield are excited to present The Future of Crime Intelligence & Analysis. This no-cost event will bring industry leaders, security executives and academic experts together for an in-person event of learning, networking and guest speakers.

Speakers will include an opening address by Mark Breen, Director, Emergency Management Monitoring and Intelligence, Emergency Management Ontario and a keynote by Andrew Kirsch, Speaker, Author, and Consultant on issues of physical, cyber and national Security.

Presented in partnership by industry leaders FutureShield Inc., CAP Index and Flashpoint. Hosted by Seneca College, home of the Honours Bachelor of Crime & Intelligence Analysis (CIA), the first crime and intelligence degree offered at an Ontario postsecondary institution.

Seminar Content -

  • Presentations and case studies from students and faculty from Seneca’s Honours Bachelor of Crime & Intelligence Analysis degree program.
  • CAP Index & the role of crime risk forecasting in a risk assessment program. Learn how to supplement your crime data collection efforts and validate security expenditures.
  • Learn how Flashpoint's intelligence tools provide access to illicit online communities on the deep and dark web, chats, forums and social media networks to help organizations detect and mitigate digital and physical threats. The sessions will include a case study discussion about a real-world attack that Flashpoint helped prevent, and an interactive demonstration of the tools.
