FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Buffalo, NY – May 14, 2020 - BCG is pleased to announce that Emergency Management Ontario (Canada) has chosen BCG’s DLAN software for its operations. In a recent memo to Community Emergency Management Coordinators, they state:
“In keeping with the Government’s effectiveness of its services, Emergency Management Ontario is excited to share the procurement of a user-friendly online emergency management software to significantly improve tracking, reporting and management of incidents, emergencies, and planned events. The software will enable us all to improve the input of necessary information to better support the monitoring of, oversight, response and recovery to incidents that occur in Ontario communities and within the Ontario Public Service (OPS). I am pleased to announce that after a rigorous procurement process the successful vendor is Buffalo Computer Graphics (DLAN software).
The DLAN software will greatly enhance overall provincial situational awareness during incidents, facilitate resource requests between stakeholders, assist in debris management and disaster assessments and streamline emergency communications.
Access to the system, which will also be available on mobile devices, will be provided to emergency management officials within provincial ministries, federal departments, municipalities, First Nations communities and select industry partners.”
BCG and our Canadian partner, FutureShield, are currently working with the province to implement the system, which is expected to occur in a phased approach throughout 2020.
